Enterprise Security Architect

Job Title: IAM Security Architect (Contract – 2 Years, Remote) Location: Remote Duration: 24-Month Contract Rate: $130–$140/hour Overview We are seeking a senior IAM Security Architect to lead the design and evolution of enterprise-wide Identity and Access Management capabilities. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong enterprise architecture experience, capable of building IAM roadmaps, services defining standards, and operating within highly regulated environments. Key Responsibilities Define and lead the IAM architecture strategy aligned with enterprise security and business goals Develop and maintain IAM capability roadmaps, including identity governance, access management, privileged access, and authentication frameworks Design scalable, secure IAM solutions across hybrid and cloud environments Establish and enforce IAM standards, policies, and controls Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements (e.g., financial, government, or other regulated industries) Collaborate with enterprise architects, security teams, and business stakeholders to align IAM with broader architecture frameworks Lead architecture reviews and provide guidance on IAM-related initiatives and integrations Evaluate and recommend IAM tools, technologies, and frameworks Support implementation teams with design oversight and technical leadership Required Qualifications 5+ years in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on Identity and Access Management architecture Proven experience in Enterprise Architecture (must-have) Strong experience developing IAM roadmaps and capability models Deep knowledge of IAM controls, standards, and best practices Experience working in regulated environments (banking, government, healthcare, etc.) Hands-on experience with IAM technologies (e.g., Entra ID, SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, etc.) Experience implementing RBAC, ABAC, and identity governance frameworks Familiarity with TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture frameworks (required) Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Nice to Have Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, TOGAF Experience with Zero Trust architecture Cloud security experience (Azure, AWS, GCP)

Lead the design and evolution of enterprise-wide IAM capabilities and strategic roadmaps. Establish IAM standards, policies, and scalable solutions across hybrid and cloud environments while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Requires over 5 years of cybersecurity experience with a heavy focus on IAM and proven Enterprise Architecture expertise. Candidates must have experience with IAM technologies like Entra ID or SailPoint and familiarity with TOGAF frameworks.
