We are seeking a Sous Chef to join our team! The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience working in a high volume kitchen and have the ability to work both on their feet and in a fast paced, multi-tasking setting. A successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills and good organizational abilities. We would like to bring someone onto our team that has a similar passion for great food and is looking to grow their skills. Responsibilities: * Have a keen eye for detail and work well with others in a fast-paced environment. * Work a variety of shifts according to business needs. * Use kitchen equipment to prepare and cook food items. * Prepare and cook food safely and according to standardized recipes or procedures. * Help maintain neat, clean, and sanitary kitchen. * Maintain kitchen equipment and facility. * Assist Chef with weekly features and maintain a rotating inventory * Supervise junior staff in kitchen; uphold Chef's standards * Thorough understanding of all dishes and allergens * Maintain a positive and respectful attitude with fellow staff members Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Discounted or free food * Vision care Ability to commute/relocate: * Schomberg, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * Cooking: 3 years (required) Language: * English (required) Work Location: In person
