Right from opening day at our brand-new downtown Toronto location. You'll be the calm, capable presence guests and teammates count on during the rush, moving easily between the kitchen and the counter to keep both sides of the house running smoothly. You're expected to manage your shift effectively while supporting KPIs and operational excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in running a tight, guest-focused shift. Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Lead and execute store operations during scheduled shifts, multitasking across the kitchen (BOH) and counter / customer service (FOH) to keep the full operation running smoothly • Deploy team members effectively, delegate tasks, and adjust staffing in real time based on business needs and service flow • Deliver hands-on customer service by anticipating guest needs, resolving concerns promptly, and modeling guest-first behaviour for the team • Support food quality and consistency by ensuring recipe, presentation, and food safety standards are followed and coached in the moment • Monitor inventory levels, communicate shortages or concerns, and support ordering and par levels as needed • Enforce established cleaning, sanitation, and safety protocols throughout the store, correcting gaps as they arise • Provide respectful, timely coaching and feedback to team members, and support the training of new Team Members by reinforcing expectations and recognizing progress • Follow cash handling, safety, and security procedures to protect both team members and guests • Support operational excellence by utilizing tools, checklists, and processes to help achieve sales, labour, and service KPIs • Recognize changes in team morale or performance, and communicate observations, operational issues, and inventory needs proactively to the Store Manager Requirements & Qualifications Must-Haves • Previous experience in a restaurant or quick-service environment, with both front-of-house and kitchen exposure required • Demonstrated leadership or team-lead experience, even informally • Able to stay calm, focused, and solutions-oriented during high-volume rushes • Proactive mindset — recognizes issues early, takes action, and keeps the manager informed • Strong communication skills, comfortable coaching and giving feedback to others • Able to stand, bend, twist, and lift for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation • Operational awareness, including a basic understanding of inventory, labour, food quality, and throughput • Comfortable with cash handling procedures • Available to work on-site at our downtown Toronto location • Available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed • Applicants must hold valid authorization to work in Canada at the time of application Nice-to-Haves • Food handler certification / Smart Serve or equivalent • Prior supervisory or shift-lead title • Experience opening a new restaurant location • Experience mentoring or coaching other team members Culture & Benefits Our Culture No matter your role or title, everyone at Crazy Carrot works from the same set of core values.
