About the Role Creative BC is looking for two Program Analysts to join our Motion Picture Tax Credits team. Reporting to the Program Manager, Motion Picture Tax Credits, the Program Analyst reviews, assesses, and processes applications for B.C.’s motion picture tax credit programs. Each Analyst manages a portfolio of applications, reviews financial, production, corporate, and supporting documentation, applies legislation and program requirements, and prepares clear, evidence-based recommendations. This role requires someone who can work carefully through detailed and sometimes complex information, exercise sound judgment, and communicate clearly with applicants about requirements, documentation, timelines, and next steps. Program Analysts also play an important role in maintaining accurate records in Salesforce, identifying issues that require further review, and contributing to improvements in how the programs are administered. Overview Positions Available: Two (2) Type: Regular, Full-Time Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (PDT) - includes a 1-hour, unpaid lunch break Work Model: Hybrid, two (2) days in-office each week (upon completion of in-person training period) Annual Salary: Starting at $65,000.00, with the successful candidate’s starting salary determined based on relevant experience and internal equity. The Work As a Program Analyst, you will: Review tax credit applications and supporting financial, production, business/legal, and corporate documentation to assess completeness, accuracy, and eligibility. Apply legislation, program criteria, policies, and established practices consistently when assessing applications. Validate calculations and supporting documentation and prepare clear, evidence-based recommendations to support certification decisions. Manage a portfolio of applications while maintaining accurate file information, documentation, workflow stages, and decisions in Salesforce. Communicate with applicants about program requirements, documentation deficiencies, timelines, and next steps. Identify unusual, complex, or higher-risk matters and escalate them appropriately with clear rationale and supporting information. Contribute to consistent program administration by participating in discussions about legislative interpretation, policies, processes, and operational practices. Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, clarity, and consistency of application handling and the overall applicant experience. Experience + Fit This may be a strong fit if you have: Post-secondary education in business, film, business and legal affairs, accounting, public administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong analytical skills and the ability to review detailed documentation thoroughly and accurately. Experience interpreting structured rules, guidelines, policies, or legislation is an asset. Experience reviewing financial, production business and legal, or corporate documentation is beneficial. Experience using a CRM or similar system to manage workflows, records, and documentation; Salesforce experience is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain requirements clearly and professionally. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to apply requirements consistently. The ability to manage multiple files and priorities while meeting required timelines. Sound judgment, including knowing when an issue requires clarification or escalation.
