À propos

Created through the merger of the activities of the National Optics Institute (INO) and the Computer Research Institute of Montréal (CRIM), Luqia is a brand-new industrial innovation lab operating at the intersection of academia and industry, bringing together expertise in artificial intelligence, advanced photonics, and quantum technologies under a single organization. It offers a unique research and development capability, along with high-performance pre-commercial prototyping, enabling discoveries in AI and photonics to be converted into market-ready products that generate major socioeconomic benefits for businesses in Quebec and across Canada, while also contributing to national security. Its activities, made possible through the ongoing collaboration of the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie and Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, help improve productivity, increase business competitiveness, and strengthen Quebec’s and Canada’s technological autonomy.
