Mechanical Test Engineer | $70/hr Remote

Position: Mechanical Engineering Technician Type: Contract Compensation: $30 - $70/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week Role Responsibilities Design and author authentic technician workflow tasks reflecting real-world challenges. Source, synthesize, and construct technical datasets from lab or production scenarios. Define accurate solution pathways and interpret test data for informed recommendations. Develop rigorous grading rubrics to evaluate technical skills in instrumentation and data interpretation. Document detailed technical procedures, observations, and diagnostic findings with precision. Requirements Have strong relevant experience in lab, test, or production environments within mechanical engineering technology. Associate degree or recognized trade credential in mechanical engineering technology or related discipline. Extensive experience with instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition systems, and prototype testing workflows. Demonstrated ability to perform in-depth technical documentation of test procedures, outcomes, and failure modes. Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex datasets and diagnosing equipment or process failures.
