Roofing Estimator

The Commercial Roofing Estimator will oversees the job in progress to ensure that it is on schedule, meets budget both with labor and materials, and monitors each job's safety record. Job Functions of the Commercial Roofing Estimator Manage and supervise commercial roofing crews and commercial roofing jobs Attend and participate in Pre-construction meetings Read and understand field books with various construction job scopes of work, plans and specifications to be able to properly plan out jobs and perform work accordingly within schedules and budgets Establish lines of communication with external and internal customers (GC's, Building Owners, Owners Representatives, Consultants, Project Managers, Accounting, Operations, Field Personnel, Etc.) before, during and after job completion Instructs the best practices for roofing production by fully participating in on the job training as well as periodic manufacturer training. Trains employees on safety procedures and safety equipment. Teaches terminology of roofing materials, tools, and equipment and proper use. Plans, administrates, and participates as instructor in company sponsored education programs for new hires and developing roof technicians.

The Commercial Roofing Estimator manages roofing crews and oversees projects to ensure they remain on schedule and within budget. They are also responsible for safety training, technical instruction for new hires, and maintaining communication with external stakeholders.

Candidates must be able to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and field books. Proficiency in roofing production best practices and the ability to train employees on safety and equipment is required.
