This is a full-time, permanent position responsible for producing high-quality bottled water while ensuring compliance with industry standards. We proudly serve the East Kootenay region and carry trusted brands including Culligan Water, Beachcomber Hot Tubs, and Flaman Fitness. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional products and outstanding customer service to homes and businesses throughout the region. Position Overview The Bottled Water Technician is responsible for the production, quality control, and sanitation of bottled water in accordance with Canadian Bottled Water Association (CBWA) standards. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining regulatory compliance, ensuring product safety, and supporting daily plant operations. This role also requires obtaining and maintaining Certified Plant Operator (CPO) certification. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor bottled water production equipment Clean, sanitize, and maintain bottling machinery and production areas Ensure all processes comply with CBWA standards and company policies Perform routine quality control testing and maintain accurate records Inspect, clean, and sanitize water bottles to ensure they meet company standards for reuse Monitor water treatment systems and report any issues promptly Maintain detailed production logs and documentation for compliance and audits Prepare products for distribution and assist with inventory control Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations Support warehouse and plant operations as required Obtain and maintain Certified Plant Operator (CPO) certification (company-supported) Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in manufacturing, bottling, food and beverage production, or water treatment is an asset Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety Ability to follow regulatory standards and written procedures Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial equipment Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly Strong organizational and record-keeping skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver’s license is an asset Willingness to obtain CBWA-recognized Certified Plant Operator (CPO) certification Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage (based on experience) Health, dental, and vision benefits after 90 days Paid vacation in accordance with BC Employment Standards Paid training and certification, including CPO designation Opportunities for advancement within the organization Employee discounts on company products Work Environment Production and warehouse setting Physically active role involving standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks Emphasis on cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance Structured daytime schedule, Monday to Friday This position is designated as safety-sensitive.
