As a Master Scheduler you will be responsible for leading the strategic and tactical execution of production planning, master scheduling, and production control activities. This role oversees planning teams responsible for ensuring alignment between customer demand, program requirements, manufacturing capacity, material availability, and operational execution. Location: Mississauga, ON Salary: $100,000 to $120,000 Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in Ontario. Your Challenge: Leads the development and execution of integrated production planning strategies. Oversees Master Production Scheduling (MPS), capacity planning, production control and material alignment activities across multiple programs or products. Ensures alignment between customer demand forecasts, contractual requirements, operational capacity, and supply chain capabilities. Leads long-range capacity planning and resource utilization strategies. Drives inventory optimization strategies while minimizing shortages, excess inventory and obsolescence exposure. Monitors and improves production flow, inventory turns and schedule adherence. Establishes standardized planning processes, governance, and KPI management. Leads continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning processes, scheduling accuracy, ERP/MRP optimization and operational efficiency. Establishes and monitors operational KPIs and planning performance metrics. Analyzes operational trends and implements corrective actions to improve results. Provides operational forecasting and strategic recommendations to senior leadership. What You Bring: 7+ years in production planning, master scheduling, or operations planning within a complex manufacturing environment Progressive experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain or manufacturing operations. Experience with leading or supervising planning or operational teams. Demonstrated success leading cross-functional operational initiatives and organizational process improvements. Advanced expertise in master scheduling, production control, data analysis, and operational reporting. Proven experience stabilizing schedules in high-mix, low-to-medium volume operations. Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP-driven planning and manual recovery planning when systems fall short. Demonstrated ability to influence without formal authority. Comfortable challenging assumptions and holding the line on realism. Calm under pressure and effective in ambiguous, imperfect environments. Highly organized with strong follow-through.
