DZ - Dump Truck Driver - Landscape/Construction

D&G Landscaping is a commercial landscaping and heavy civil construction company based in Greely, Ontario. We are proud to have worked on some of the largest landscape construction projects in our nation's capital. Our projects include Parliament (West Block & Centre Block), Lansdowne Park, Rideau Street, Elgin Street, multiple OLRT Stations to name just a few. Our organization is growing and looking to add skilled Dump Truck drivers to our team/fleet. If you're a DZ driver with 3+ years of drving experience & looking for a new opportunity, this could be a wonderful role for you! Description: Seasonal, full-time work (40 – 55 hours/week) Drive a dump truck for commercial landscaping, road construction, surface mining & snow haul Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection (oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment) Receive and relay information to dispatch Keep records including driver logbook, loading tickets, inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) Requirements: DZ License, air brakes endorsement Experience utilizing DZ license in a similar setting (1-3 years) Clear Driver's abstract Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Required PPE: Steel-toed safety shoes, hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses Team player, reliable, organized, professionalism in customer service, excellent oral & written communication Must provide your own transportation to and from the truck garage/base in Greely, ON We thank all who apply, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. The driver will operate a dump truck for commercial landscaping, road construction, and snow hauling projects. Responsibilities include performing vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate logs, and relaying information to dispatch.

Candidates must possess a valid DZ license with an air brakes endorsement and have 1-3 years of relevant driving experience. Applicants are also required to have a clear driver's abstract and the ability to lift up to 23 kg.
