Job Purpose Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal‑management technologies that enhance the efficiency and performance of vehicles powered by both conventional and alternative energy systems. Serving three primary markets—passenger vehicles, commercial trucks, and off‑highway equipment—Dana supports original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket through a global network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities. Dana’s TM4 division, located in Boucherville, specializes in the design and development of electric motors and inverters for commercial and light‑duty vehicle applications. The NVH team is part of the Mechanical Analysis group at Dana TM4. The team is responsible for the simulation and testing of noise and vibration behavior of electric motors and electric powertrains. As an intern within the NVH team, you will be involved in various project phases at Dana, including feasibility studies, product development, continuous improvement, and research and development activities for new designs.Job Duties and Responsibilities • Perform finite element analysis (FEA) of noise and vibration behavior in electric motors and e‑powertrains• Conduct noise and vibration measurements on electric motor test benches• Perform modal and frequency response function (FRF) testing on electric powertrain components and systems• Carry out correlation studies between test results and simulation models for electric powertrains and components• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (e.g., electromagnetics and design) to analyze and optimize products• Provide NVH support to design and manufacturing teams throughout product development and productionEducation and Qualifications Bachelor’s (third or fourth year) or Master’s student in Mechanical EngineeringSkills • Knowledge of finite element (FE) analysis and related software tools• Experience in noise and vibration signal processing• Familiarity with optimization methods and their application using appropriate software• Strong critical thinking skills applied to mechanical systems and root‑cause analysis• Proactive mindset with the ability to work and communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary team• Understanding of electric motor fundamentals (considered an asset)• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken
