About The Position The Specialist, Marketing (Awards & Rankings) plays a core role in drafting, coordinating and executing assigned directory, award and ranking submissions from kickoff through submission. Working closely with the Manager, Market & Industry Recognition, the role is responsible for developing submission content, managing timelines, coordinating stakeholders and maintaining the trackers, portals and materials that support the program. The Specialist is expected to lead assigned submissions end to end, including Chambers submissions, with strong drafting, disciplined project management, clear stakeholder coordination, early escalation of risks and appropriate review and approval by the Manager and lawyers. This is an existing vacancy. Key Responsibilities Directories, Awards and Rankings Execution Lead the end-to-end coordination and execution of assigned directory and award submissions, including Chambers, Lexpert, Legal 500 and other strategic recognitions, in collaboration with the Manager Develop and manage structured project plans for each assigned submission, including timelines, review milestones, information requests and stakeholder responsibilities while ensuring adherence to internal and external deadlines Prepare and manage submission materials, portal entries and supporting documents in accordance with requirements and timelines Proactively identify risks to timing, inputs or quality and escalate early to the Manager, as needed Writing and Content Development Draft full submissions and substantive sections of assigned directory and award submissions, including Chambers submissions, for Manager and/or lawyer review Work with BD and lawyers to gather, assess and synthesize relevant transactional, litigation and practice information into clear, compelling narratives Review and refine practice descriptions and lawyer biographies to ensure consistency and accuracy Incorporate feedback from the Manager, BD colleagues and lawyers into revised drafts Data Integrity and Systems Management Maintain the awards tracker and related documentation to ensure full visibility of deadlines, status, outcomes and submission readiness Ensure directory portals and supporting materials are updated and submission-ready in advance of cycles Maintain organized records of past submissions, referee lists and feedback to support continuous improvement Stakeholder Coordination Serve as the day-to-day lead and primary operational contact for stakeholders on assigned submissions Establish and communicate clear expectations regarding information requirements, review timelines, approval processes and follow-up actions Ensure meetings related to submissions are well-prepared, structured and outcome-oriented Prepare agendas and materials for submission meetings, and document decisions and next steps Escalate missing inputs, approval delays or quality risks early Qualifications And Experience 4–6 years of experience in marketing, business development or market recognition within a professional services environment; law firm experience strongly preferred Demonstrated experience drafting long-form submissions, awards, rankings materials, proposals or other persuasive professional services content Experience with legal directory or awards submissions, particularly Chambers, is preferred Strong organization and project management skills, including planning, trackers, timelines, follow-ups, status reporting and early risk escalation Ability to synthesize complex legal or technical information into clear, concise narratives Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines Experience maintaining databases, trackers or CRM systems with a high degree of data integrity Strong technology skills and comfort using digital tools, including trackers, databases, CRM or experience management systems and AI-enabled tools, to stay organized, improve workflows and support high-quality work Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM or experience management systems Strong interpersonal skills and confidence working directly with lawyers Ability to operate with autonomy, sound judgment and accountability Salary Range The expected starting salary range for this role is $70,000 - $78,000.
