We are currently seeking a competent individual to fulfill the role of Business Analyst / Quality Assurance (BA/QA) to join our dynamic team for one of our major banking clients. Role Type: Hybrid (3 days in office required) Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst / Quality Assurance (BA/QA) professional with strong analytical and testing skills to support the development and delivery of web-based applications and API integrations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating business requirements, performing end-to-end testing, verifying data flow across multiple systems, and ensuring data accuracy between APIs, databases, and user interfaces. Key Responsibilities Perform end-to-end (E2E) testing for web applications and integrated systems. Analyze business requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases. Validate data flow and perform data mapping between multiple systems. Test and verify API integrations using REST APIs and related tools. Review and analyze JSON and XML payloads for request/response validation. Execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Perform database validation by writing SQL queries to verify data accuracy and integrity. Identify, document, track, and retest defects through resolution. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues. Participate in requirement reviews to ensure testability and completeness. Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, defect reports, and testing documentation. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience as a Business Analyst, Quality Assurance Analyst, or in a combined BA/QA role. Strong experience with end-to-end (E2E) testing. Solid understanding of web application architecture and workflows. Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman or Swagger. Good understanding of API concepts, request/response structures, authentication, and status codes. Experience working with JSON and XML data formats. Strong data mapping skills between APIs, databases, and user interfaces. Experience validating data in relational databases using SQL. Ability to analyze business requirements and create effective test cases. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail) is an advantage. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Experience with banking/financial institutions (FI) is a big plus. Understanding of automation testing concepts is beneficial.

The role involves performing end-to-end testing for web applications and validating data flow across multiple systems and APIs. You will also be responsible for analyzing business requirements, writing SQL queries for database validation, and documenting defects.

Candidates must have experience in a BA/QA role with strong skills in REST API testing and SQL database validation. Proficiency in working with JSON/XML and experience in Agile environments or the banking sector is highly preferred.
