We are currently seeking an experienced Business System Analyst to join our dynamic team and support one of our major banking clients. The successful candidate will support ongoing technology initiatives, including the Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) program, as well as assist in defining and shaping upcoming strategic initiatives by working with business and technology stakeholders to understand objectives, scope, requirements, and delivery needs. The Business Analyst will play a key role in requirement discovery, backlog refinement, stakeholder engagement, and supporting teams through the project lifecycle. Engagement Details Hybrid role: 2 days per week in office required Location: Down Town Toronto Key Responsibilities Support business analysis activities across multiple banking technology initiatives, including existing programs and emerging projects. Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to understand business objectives and define initiative scope. Conduct requirement discovery sessions to identify business needs, challenges, opportunities, and potential solutions for new initiatives. Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements. Support the CIAM program by refining backlog items, clarifying requirements, and ensuring user stories and acceptance criteria are well-defined. Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder discussions to gather information and drive alignment. Translate business needs into clear requirements, process flows, user stories, and functional specifications for delivery teams. Assist in identifying project scope, dependencies, risks, impacts, and implementation considerations for new initiatives. Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to support solution design and delivery planning. Maintain requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle. Support Agile practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and review sessions. Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance business processes and delivery practices. Required Qualifications 7+ Years of proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise technology initiatives. 4+ Years of experience in Development team being a Business System Analyst Strong experience in business requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder engagement. Experience facilitating discovery sessions and translating business needs into actionable requirements. Hands-on experience with Agile delivery methodologies, including backlog refinement, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a complex enterprise environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced setting. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience supporting Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) or Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives. Experience in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated environments. Experience with digital banking, enterprise modernization, or platform-related initiatives. Familiarity with security, identity, authentication, authorization, or access management processes.
