We are seeking an experienced QA Analyst / Quality Assurance Engineer to support a major banking client. Engagement Details Work Model: Hybrid (2 days per week in office) Location: Downtown Toronto Key Responsibilities Perform extensive localization testing, verifying that all translated text, labels, error messages, and terminology fit seamlessly within the UI layout without truncation or corruption. Execute thorough regression testing to verify that the UI conversion introduces no functional changes or defects to the existing applications. Identify, document, and track UI bugs, linguistic defects, inconsistencies, and functional regressions using defect-management tools. Collaborate closely with Business Owners, developers, UX designers, and system analysts to validate the Mandarin GUI and review test results. Validate accessibility compliance (WCAG) for the Mandarin UI, ensuring screen reader compatibility, text readability, and smooth user interaction. Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and validation checklists tailored for multilingual applications. Participate actively in Agile delivery ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and defect triage meetings. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience as a QA Analyst or Quality Assurance Engineer in enterprise technology environments. 4+ years of experience testing UI/UX components, web applications, or digital platforms within agile software development teams. Strong experience in localization testing, internationalization (i18n), or multilingual application initiatives. Proven expertise in functional regression testing, GUI validation, defect management, and the overall QA lifecycle. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills to effectively bridge the gap between technical teams and Business Owners. Sharp analytical skills and an exceptional eye for detail when identifying visual layout issues and text inconsistencies. Solid experience working in an Agile delivery framework. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications Professional proficiency in Mandarin and English (particularly written Mandarin) to effectively validate terminology, tone, and grammar. Experience with English-to-Mandarin UI conversion or localization projects. Prior QA experience within online banking, digital banking, or the broader financial services sector. Hands-on experience testing accessibility requirements (e.g., WCAG 2.1/2.2, screen readers, keyboard navigation). Familiarity with UI/UX principles and how language expansion impacts responsive design.
