Dawson Group is looking for a collaborative Treasury Accountant who is responsible for managing the day-to-day treasury operations for a group of companies. In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Group, working in a permanent, full-time position of Treasury Accountant, reporting to the Corporate Controller. This role will act as a key business partner to the finance and operations teams, ensuring timely and accurate execution of cash management activities and supporting decision-making with reliable financial data. Working closely with the Corporate Controller, the Treasury Accountant will also play a key role in bank administration, optimizing banking relationships and supporting overall liquidity management across the organization. Your base location will be in Kamloops, B.C.; however, Dawson Group embraces distributed work, meaning the successful candidate will have the flexibility to work from home. What Success Looks Like Manage daily and weekly cash flow forecasting across a group of companies Perform and monitor bank transactions and ensure proper documentation Ensure accurate and timely recording of all treasury transactions Prepare and reconcile bank accounts for multiple entities within the Group Support bank administration activities in collaboration with the Corporate Controller Assist in maintaining and improving internal controls over cash and treasury functions Contribute to continuous improvement of treasury operations and reporting processes Complete intercompany reconciliations and post related journal entries Support the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes across the organization Support monthly and year-end close processes Other accounting process support as needed You will receive mentorship, guidance and opportunities to enhance your finance and accounting skills in a diversified, fast-paced construction environment. You will work with other highly experienced professionals and be part of a team dedicated to providing value added services to all operations groups and building on a track record of success. What You Bring Bachelor of Business Degree or Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or equivalent 3 - 5 years of accounting experience In CPA program (nearing completion) or CPA designation Solid understanding of treasury operations, cash flow forecasting, and intercompany accounting Proficient in bank reconciliations, journal entries, and AR processes Strong Excel skills, experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), and banking platforms Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Industry experience in construction/manufacturing would be an asset Promote our Dawson Group of Companies core values – People First, Integrity, Excellence and Respect Benefits Looking to be a key member of a well-established family-owned company?
