Production Team Lead - Automotive

SHIFT: Day Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) JOB TYPE : Permanent Reporting to the Production Manager, the Team Leader will be assigned to oversee a specific area or function within the operation. The incumbent will perform duties and possess advanced knowledge in at least one job classification. The Team Leader will not be responsible for supervisory duties, such as disciplinary action, but may participate in those processes as required. Generally, the Team Leader is capable of performing all, or the majority, of the workstations within the designated area and may spend up to 50% of their time supporting production operations as backup and/or assisting with training. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY - (state briefly the principal functions of this position) Provide And Maintain a Safe Work Environment By Emphasize the good quality of parts, consistent with customer requirements and ISO & IATF applicable standards. Highly efficient utilization of production manpower and resources. Support High level of Production Associate morale. Provide a nurturing environment conducive to continuous improvement. Complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner to support the above, in compliance with governmental regulations, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act and DBG policies. Work in compliance and conform to QMS, EMS and H&S standards, Policies, Objectives, Impact & Aspect and Hazard and Risks. Education Required Grade 12 Diploma. Experience from the DBG operation is preferred, grow from within. Effective Supervision/Coaching Courses an asset. Knowledge and understanding of Occupational Health & Safety Act (OH&SA). Accident Investigation training. Forklift Certificate. First AID certified is an asset . Experience Required 5+ Years in Manufacturing environment. Automotive experience considered an Asset. 2+Years in a Leadership position.

Oversee a specific production area to ensure high quality, safety, and efficient resource utilization. Support production operations as a backup and assist with the training of associates.

Requires a high school diploma and over 5 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. Certifications in forklift operation and knowledge of OH&SA are required.
