Our flagship product, the dcbel Home Energy Station, is a small wall mounted device that gives everyone ownership over their energy supply by using solar power to charge their EV and home, unlocking their EV’s battery for backup power (V2H), and optimizing the energy flow between their solar panels, EVs, backup battery and the grid. Today, we are entering a pivotal phase of our journey. We are building an entire production team dedicated to assembling our revolutionary product — the dcbel ARA, our next-generation Home Energy Station. This is a unique opportunity to join at the ground level and play a direct role in bringing an industry-defining product to life. The opportunity dcbel is seeking five (5) Electromechanical Assemblers to join our Montréal team and contribute to the assembly of the ARA. This role is more than an assembly position — it’s a chance to be part of the core team scaling production of a product that is redefining how homes generate, store, and use energy. This is a full-time position. You will work alongside a passionate and highly collaborative team to ensure that every unit meets the highest quality and performance standards. Main responsibilities Assemble electromechanical components and subassemblies using manual tools in accordance with production requirements Rework electrical components using tools such as wire strippers, crimping tools, heat guns, and soldering irons Perform sheet metal modifications using manual hole punches, drills, and rivet tools Mechanically assemble electrical subassemblies using impact drivers, torque screwdrivers, and drills while ensuring compliance with technical specifications Execute electrical testing of assemblies, following proper test and safety procedures Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects or failures, ensuring product quality Manage and organize cabling, including routing, zip-tying, and applying heat shrink Accurately document work progress, test results, and production data Key requirements Technical or college-level training in electronics, electromechanics, or a related field (preferred) ~1 year of hands-on experience using manual tools (crimping, drilling, wire stripping, riveting, torque tools, etc.) Experience performing manual electrical testing Solid understanding of assembly techniques and ability to follow technical instructions Bonus skills Bilingual English and French.
