Maintenance Technician Position Summary: A maintenance technician oversees periodic maintenance of equipment and troubleshoots common issues. This work needs to adhere to relevant local and federal guidelines. Daily tasks can include repair and replacement of parts, inspection of new components, and maintaining cleanliness. Key responsibilities: • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment • Performing preventative maintenance • Handling basic repairs and maintenance • Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary • Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them • Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary • Perform regular inspections to ensure production equipment is in good working condition • Perform other duties as assigned by your Manager / Supervisor Key competencies: • Proven maintenance experience • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts • Ability to check repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary • Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices • Experience performing routine maintenance would be an asset • Strong organizational and follow up skills • Eye for detail Key Competencies: • Strong written and verbal communication skills • High attention to detail and processes • Able to multi-task efficiently Closing remarks: We will be evaluating the ideal candidate against these three things: 1) If they are a team player with a can-do attitude. 2) If they have demonstrated the ability to grow and develop their skillset. 3) If they are inspired to innovate and continuously improve the way they do their work.
