Lead Hand

Shift: Rotation Department: Stain A Lead Hand is responsible for supporting the Production Supervisor in managing all aspects of the department including: Key Responsibilities: * Safe work: promoting safety within the department, aiming for a zero-injury culture. * Coach and develop staff: monitor performance to identify training gaps, provide training, maintain, and request updates to CTR’s. * Quality work: training staff on quality standards/expected behaviours and ensuring they are met. * Lead department meetings: involve staff in department matters. * Monitor production activity: take action to optimize sequencing and product flow, ensure buffer holes are filled, and work with the team to achieve production targets. * Continuous improvement: active participation in and coaching employees for continuous improvement. * Innovation: bringing value through new, creative ideas. Education & Experience: * 3-5 years manufacturing experience. * Finishing experience would be an asset. * Leadership experience would be an asset.
