The Nurse Consultant develops and implements strategies for life and health insurance claims, occupational health, and disability management. They analyze medical files, coordinate with practitioners to verify treatment plans, and negotiate return-to-work terms for insured individuals.

Temporary position for 12 months. As a claims advisor, you help develop and implement strategies for life and health insurance claims, occupational health and disability management. You advise and assist clients and partners as part of intervention and development initiatives. You recommend solutions to improve or optimize standards, policies and programs. Your projects and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work. You prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the organization’s objectives and priorities. You help solve complex problems using your analytical skills and extensive knowledge of your line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to: Diagnose issues, challenges and needs to determine target outcomes Develop and help implement objectives, solutions and action plans. Recommend changes to disability management strategies and processes Review files to verify medical and rehabilitation action plans. Recommend measures to help insureds recover and return to work. Carry out the coordination required to quickly obtain diagnoses and medical opinions to verify treatment plans Analyze data, conduct studies, make recommendations and write reports Handle cases requiring specialized intervention and develop strategies for them Negotiate return-to-work terms with clients and practitioners, including attending physicians.
