What You Will Do Det'on Logistics is seeking a skilled Freight Handler to join our team. In this position, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight by loading and unloading cargo from aircraft and delivery trucks. A Day In The Life * Operate warehouse and yard equipment including forklifts and or loaders for the efficient and safe handling of freight. * Utilize your organizational skills to ensure that all freight is accurately sorted, secured and labeled for safe transport. * Demonstrate your attention to detail by ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate. * Provide assistance in locating high-priority freight and preparing loads for upcoming flights or trucks. * Be a safety advocate by actively participating in the Company’s Safety Management System program. * Demonstrate your knowledge and commitment to safety by understanding and fulfilling your responsibilities regarding safety as an employee. The Freight Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of cargo from aircraft and delivery trucks. They must also maintain accurate documentation and ensure all freight is properly sorted, labeled, and secured for transport.

Candidates must have a high school diploma and a valid class 5 driver's license. The role requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an outdoor winter environment.
