Who We Are: As the economic development arm of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation, Det'on Cho is a catalyst for northern development, with 31 diverse companies, including 9 wholly owned subsidiaries and 22 joint venture partners serving our customers in the Northwest Territories and beyond. What you will do Help us tell our story! Det'on Cho is seeking an experienced professional for a one (1) year term from approximately August 2026 to July 2027 to lead our marketing and communications efforts across our portfolio of companies. This role focuses on building and deepening our relationships with key stakeholders through strategic marketing and communications planning and execution. A Day in the Life Reporting to the Vice President, Strategy & Engagement, your job duties include: * Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of marketing and communication campaigns for Det'on Cho's services, reinforcing its brand attributes and community impact * Lead the development and implementation of digital and social media strategies, including maintenance of company websites and social media accounts * Collaborate with our People Team to align employee messaging and develop programs that strengthen our brand as an employer of choice for both existing and prospective team members * Create compelling, informative, audience-centric marketing and communications materials, including reports, corporate profiles, key messages, executive speaking notes, presentations, brochures, media releases, videos, photo library, advertising copy, and digital and print content * Hire and manage team members and contractors to assist in the creation of internal and external communications tools What You Bring * Possess a post-secondary degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field plus 5 years of progressive, related experience, or commensurate years of experience * Outstanding written and oral communicator who can create and deliver strategic messages to diverse audiences * Collaborative team player who can support multiple business priorities * Familiarity with Yellowknives Dene culture, language, and way of life are considered assets What we offer In addition to a competitive salary and a great work environment, Det'on Cho Management LP also offers a generous benefits package, including: * Extended health, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage * Employee Assistance Program * Health and Wellness Program * Group Life Insurance and Employee Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage * Matching Defined Benefit Pension Plan (DPP) * Retirement Savings Plan and Tax-Free Savings Account (TFSA) are available * Vacation, Personal, and Sick Leave * Career Development and Training Programs * And much more… CLOSING DATE: Open Until Filled Priority Hiring Statement: We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and supported. Exigences

Requires a post-secondary degree in marketing, communications, or public relations with at least 5 years of progressive experience. Must be an outstanding communicator capable of delivering strategic messages to diverse audiences.
