Supplier Management Professional Duration 5 months Work Location: Oakville CAN L6H 0H6 Hybrid position: 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Description: Description: As an Operational Purchaser, you will be directly executing the part purchasing and supply needs for our internal and after-market customers throughout the Americas region. Daily, you will find yourself working closely with groups like the Customer Order Management, Operations, and Transportation teams to ensure timely fulfillment and receipt of orders to support the Wind Power business. Responsibilites & Tasks Conducts order management responsibilities for Americas-based Wind Power warehouses and locations, while cooperating with internal Procurement, Controlling and Logistics to ensure acceptance and adherence to supply chain processes, guidelines and tools. Analyzes and constantly optimizes the organization’s processes to enhance performance, and establishes, monitors, updates and benchmarks metrics to propose concrete measures for improvement. Act as the primary operational point of contact for a portfolio of assigned suppliers, managing day-to-day communications and inquiries. Establishes operational vendor relations to manage and monitor vendor performance, identifying and resolving vendor conflicts in a timely manner in support of customer needs, while also establishing SCM-oriented customer relations to meet customer expectations. Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in strict compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all procurement transactions, communications, and supporting documentation for audit purposes. Identify and suggest opportunities for process improvements within the operational purchasing workflow to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Communicates with external auditors in accordance with management, ensuring alignment and transparency across all relevant supply chain activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of demonstrated experience in Procurement, Purchasing, or other Supply Chain Management areas. Demonstrated experience working with an ERP system (e.g., SAP) for procurement and order management. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including but not limited to Teams, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, with experience manipulating data in spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) to support performance monitoring and decision-making. Ability to effectively communicate and conduct business in English, both written and spoken. Spanish and/or Portuguese is considered a plus.
