As an Account Director supporting Simon Fraser University, you will lead a dedicated facilities management team and oversee the delivery of high-quality custodial services across a dynamic post-secondary campus environment. Serving as the primary point of contact for the client, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service delivery, managing budgets, maintaining health and safety compliance, and driving operational excellence. By fostering strong partnerships with university stakeholders and leading a diverse workforce, you will play a key role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming campus for students, faculty, staff, and visitors—while advancing your leadership career with Dexterra. Key Responsibilities: Lead revenue growth and ensure profitability for assigned accounts Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service delivery Provide strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of commercial janitorial contracts within government and public sector environments. Manage, mentor, and inspire on-site teams to achieve performance goals Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive account growth Conduct regular site visits and quality audits to ensure adherence to service and compliance standards. Oversee resource planning, scheduling, and workforce optimization Recruit, onboard, and train team members to support operational success Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality assurance protocols Drive client satisfaction and long-term account retention Qualifications WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Minimum of 2 years of management experience and directing a team in facility services or related field Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and other software applications Ability to effectively use hand-held computer technology Proven experience in recruiting, training, retaining and managing employee performance, including progressive discipline Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients at all levels Ability to maintain excellent relations with People – employees, client and customers Familiar with health, safety and environmental management systems A clear criminal record check is required for this role.
