Assurance & Accounting Manager | $115,000–$130,000 | Toronto (Hybrid) There comes a point in public accounting where the next move needs to offer more than another portfolio of files. I’m working with an established mid-sized CPA firm in Toronto that is interested in experienced Assurance & Accounting Managers and Senior Managers looking for broader responsibility and long-term progression. The firm has a broad practice across audit, accounting, tax and advisory and works with privately held businesses, not-for-profits and organizations across a wide range of industries. Why consider it: • $115,000–$130,000 depending on level and experience • Hybrid working • Toronto location • Established mid-sized CPA firm • Broad audit and assurance portfolio • Exposure to private companies and not-for-profits • Direct Partner involvement • Opportunity to lead engagements and client relationships • Staff management and development • Mix of technical and commercial responsibility • Strong progression potential beyond Manager level What you’ll be doing: • Lead audit, review and other assurance engagements • Manage engagements from planning through completion • Review working papers and financial statements • Work across IFRS, ASPE and ASNPO engagements • Manage client relationships directly • Review corporate tax work where relevant • Support staff scheduling and engagement resourcing • Coach and develop junior and senior staff • Work closely with Partners on complex engagement matters • Contribute to the wider development of the practice What they’re looking for: • CPA designation • Strong Canadian public accounting experience • Manager or Senior Manager-level background • Strong audit and assurance experience • Experience managing engagements from planning through completion • Strong technical accounting knowledge • Experience leading teams and reviewing files • Confident client-facing skills • Exposure to a range of industries • Someone looking for genuine longer-term progression If you’ve reached Manager level and feel like your next move should give you more ownership, visibility and room to progress, this could be a very good fit.
