Rink Attendants (Seasonal, Casual On-Call) Are you looking for a fun and rewarding job? Do you enjoy skating, working with people, and being part of a team? The Recreation Centre is hiring Rink Attendants to help create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for everyone at the rink this season. Why join our team? Gain valuable work experience in a supportive environment Be part of a fun, active workplace where every day is different Build teamwork, communication, and leadership skills Earn money while staying involved in your community What you’ll be doing: Supervising skaters on the ice to help ensure a safe and fun experience Greeting guests/groups during skating sessions Assisting with tournaments and special event set up/take down Helping keep the rink, change rooms, and public areas clean and safe Supporting staff with snow and ice removal around the facility Promoting safety and encouraging good sportsmanship Other duties as assigned What we’re looking for: Competent skating ability and confidence on the ice Friendly, positive attitude, and great customer service skills Ability to work well with the public, including enforcing rules respectfully Willingness to take on physical tasks (cleaning, shovelling, etc.) Reliable and responsible team player First Aid training is an asset Salary: The 2026 hourly wage rate is $20.40/hr as per the CUPE current collective agreement. This position is a unionized position under CUPE Local 2698. Start Dates: These positions will start throughout September. Apply today to join our Recreation Centre team!
