Résumé du poste

About the Job We are looking for a Junior IT Systems Analyst to join our technology team in a small, fast-moving professional services environment. This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone with a computer science, software development, or information systems background who wants to work across business systems, software, automation, user support, and IT administration. This is not a narrowly defined help desk role, and it is not a pure software development role. The right person will be comfortable wearing many hats. This role includes both technical project work and hands-on user support. Candidates should be comfortable with a broad range of tasks, from requirements gathering and automation to setting up workstations and troubleshooting day-to-day user issues. Company Description Dixon Mitchell Investment Counsel Inc. is an independent asset management firm providing investment solutions for individual and institutional clients. Established in 2000, Dixon Mitchell now manages nearly $7bn on behalf of Canadian families, pensions, foundations and Indigenous communities and organizations. Our culture is built around business integrity, client service, and the alignment of corporate and investor interests. Dixon Mitchell is based in Vancouver and has a satellite office in Calgary. Position Summary The Junior IT Systems Analyst is a full-time office-based position at the Dixon Mitchell Investment Counsel office in Vancouver. The Junior IT Systems Analyst will support a wide range of technology functions, including systems analysis, requirements creation, software development, automation, business application support, Microsoft 365 administration, Salesforce administration, user support, documentation, and general IT operations. On one day, you may help define requirements for a business process improvement, write a script, configure a system, or document a workflow. On another day, you may troubleshoot a printer, set up a new user’s workstation, assist with Microsoft 365 administration, or help support Salesforce and other business applications. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is technically curious, eager to learn, and willing to work on both higher-level systems analysis and practical day-to-day IT support. About you You are a junior technologist with a software, computer science, or information systems foundation who enjoys solving business problems and learning new systems. You are comfortable working with users to understand what they are trying to accomplish, asking thoughtful questions, and turning unclear or informal needs into clear requirements and practical solutions. You are also willing to help with hands-on IT support tasks. You understand that in a small team, valuable technology work can include anything from writing a script or configuring an application to setting up a workstation, troubleshooting a printer, helping with a phone system, or documenting a repeatable process. You are curious, practical, detail-oriented, reliable, and interested in becoming a well-rounded technology professional who understands both business systems and operational IT. Key Responsibilities Support systems analysis and business process improvement Work with users to understand business needs, pain points, current workflows, and desired outcomes. Create, define, and document business and system requirements for process improvements, reports, integrations, automation, application changes, and internal tools. Ask questions, analyze problems, and help shape clear requirements where processes are informal, incomplete, or not yet fully defined. Translate business needs into practical technical solutions, configuration changes, documentation, development tasks, or support procedures. Assist with testing, validation, user acceptance, and rollout of new systems, workflows, and enhancements. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual work, simplify processes, and improve system reliability. Assist with software development, automation, and reporting Develop or assist with scripts, reports, integrations, and small internal tools. Work with APIs, data exports/imports, automation tools, and business system integrations. Support data analysis, troubleshooting, and reconciliation between systems. Assist with testing, debugging, documentation, and deployment of internally developed solutions. Help investigate and resolve issues such as printing problems, login issues, application errors, network connectivity, and device setup. Use the ticketing system to track, prioritize, document, and resolve support requests. Escalate issues appropriately while also taking ownership of follow-through.
