Junior Geotechnical Engineer (EIT)

We’re seeking a technically strong engineer with proven experience in project management, geotechnical site characterization, embankment design, and stability modelling. The ideal candidate will have co‑op or early career experience in field investigation and construction, communicate confidently with clients, and produce clear, well‑reasoned technical deliverables under the mentorship of DMC’s senior engineers. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering (minimum) Minimum 2 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in BC Strong technical writing, communication, and project coordination skills Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision Previous project management experience Proficient with Microsoft Office applications Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record Legally eligible to work in Canada Strong work ethic with a drive to excel and deliver high‑quality work Effective communicator with excellent oral and written skills Able to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment Supplementary Skills: Experience conducting geotechnical site investigations Familiarity with industry standard geotechnical software (e.g., gINT, CPeT IT, L Pile, GROUP, Settle3D, Slide, SHAKE) Background in materials testing and construction inspection The Rewards: In exchange for your hard work and dedication, you will receive a highly competitive annual salary along with a comprehensive benefits package, including: Extended health and dental coverage Profit sharing opportunities Reimbursement of applicable professional membership dues Employee share options Opportunities for paid training and professional development (role dependent) Upon joining DMC, you will be welcomed into a close-knit and cohesive organization with excellent company culture and a range of social events. The engineer will conduct geotechnical site characterizations, embankment designs, and stability modelling for various infrastructure projects. They will also manage projects, communicate with clients, and perform field investigations and construction inspections.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geological Engineering and have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in BC is required.
