Summary DMC is currently looking for a Construction Supervisor to join our team on a contract basis, based in our Sudbury Operations. Responsible for the direction and leadership of DMC Mining Services employees. Manage a shift or a segment of numerous shifts to complete tasks. You will be responsible for leading the day to day operations of assigned tasks and the timely completion of each project safely with the highest quality on budget. Responsibilities Monitors compliance to all government legislation, company standards and site requirements by workers under the incumbent’s supervision. Coordinator production work with mechanical, electrical and engineering service groups. Supervise, plan and lead the safe operation of all mine mobile equipment throughout the shift Coordinate mine operations activities with other departments and contractors Train and develop a diverse workforce in the safe and efficient operation of equipment Ensures that all operations are following legal requirements, company and site regulations. Inspects all work areas and requests corrective action from subordinates Ensure that all direct reports in the workplace take responsibility for aspects of Occupational Health, Safety and Environment over which they have control including adherence to all O H S & E requirements applicable to DMC Mining Services. Organize and implement; mobilization, setup, work performed, tear down and demobilization of raise drill, crew and equipment, both on and off site. Supervises crews and coordinates the activities of the workers in surface and underground mining projects. Conducts weekly safety meetings and provides a safe work environment. Provides training to the crew. Daily documentation and correspondence between client and company on performance of raise drill, crew and equipment. Plus any other duties assigned. Qualifications Completed of associated mining and industry Common Core certification and accreditation. 5+ years of similar experience. Expert knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures. Experience managing and leading a team of employees. Exceptional written and oral communication skills 3 years’ experience working underground projects. Working Environment Working in office setting. Travel to work site locations. Site conditions may include: outdoors, dark, wet, inclement weather, and uneven ground. Sitting for prolonged periods of time. Vehicle - passenger or driver. Able to work rotation day and night shifts Additional Information We are hiring to fill an existing vacancy. Hourly rate is expected to be: $30 (CAD) + hourly incentive bonus.
