The location in Port Alberni, British Columbia, Canada, is seeking talent to fill the position of Maintenance Supervisor. This job is full-time permanent. Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Motivate the maintenance personnel. Determine proper crew for the job, coordinate, and follow-up. Be responsible for maintenance in the area assigned. Perform safety and quality monitoring of the job. Recommend improvements and cost reductions. Identify the causes of failures for breakdowns and repetitive repairs. Recommend skill levels and training courses for apprentices and journeymen. Key Skills: Ability to understand requirements and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. Ability to prioritize, make sound decisions, and resolve issues efficiently and effectively. Proven analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal, leadership and time management skills. Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels within the company. Ability to work independently and as a team. High degree of collaboration with both Maintenance and Operations personnel. Working knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Excellent computer skills. Required Qualifications: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technologist or Red Seal trades certification; and, Related industry experience. Minimum 3-5 yrs of equivalent experience. Exigences

Requires a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technologist degree or Red Seal trades certification. A minimum of 3-5 years of related industry experience is required.
