The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Senior Analyst, Network. This job is full-time permanent.You will join a collaborative and experienced team of network professionals that values practical problem-solving, technical ownership, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. The team is responsible for supporting, modernizing and governing Domtar’s enterprise network services to deliver a reliable, secure and scalable environment for the business today and into the future. Your role: As Senior Network Analyst, you will play a key role in modernizing, supporting and improving Domtar’s enterprise network services. You will work across a diverse environment that includes offices, mills, data centres and remote sites, helping deliver reliable, secure and scalable connectivity for business-critical operations. This is a hands-on senior technical role where you will influence network standards, contribute to solution design, lead implementations, troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate closely with architects, operations teams, business stakeholders and service providers. Your network environment: You will work with a broad and evolving mix of enterprise network technologies, including SD-WAN (Versa Networks, VeloCloud), Satellite connectivity, MPLS, dedicated Internet access, Cisco Catalyst switching and routing, Cisco Nexus datacenter switching, Cisco Meraki and Aironet, LAN/WLAN services and BGP routing. Our focus is on building a reliable, standardized, secure and scalable network environment that supports the needs of the business today and into the future. Primary Responsibilities: Design, deliver and improve enterprise network services, from identifying opportunities through implementing sustainable technical solutions: Analyze business needs and recommend practical, secure and scalable network solutions Develop technical strategies, standards and repeatable deployment models Design solutions, integration plans and clear technical documentation Implement solutions and transfer knowledge to operations teams responsible for ongoing support Act as a technical subject matter expert and trusted advisor for WAN, LAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, datacenter networking and remote-site connectivity. Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including designs, build books, standards, implementation plans and operational procedures. As part of supporting business-critical services, occasionally assist with major incidents or planned changes outside regular business hours. Key Competencies: Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; Sound judgment and critical thinking, with the ability to make informed, fact-based recommendations; Self-starter, comfortable with leading, taking initiative, and driving accountability; Strong collaboration skills; Skilled at successfully managing priorities and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects; Skilled at leading, driving and reporting on initiatives; Well-developed written and verbal communication and collaboration skill; Key IT skills: Solid experience designing, implementing and supporting enterprise network solutions across WAN, LAN and WLAN environments; Strong understanding of SD-WAN, VeloCloud, and hybrid WAN services including MPLS, dedicated Internet access, broadband Internet and Starlink connectivity; Experience with BGP routing, carrier integrations and troubleshooting complex network incidents; Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, Cisco Meraki. Project Management fundamentals: sufficient ability to lead the delivery of less-complex initiatives when no formal Project Manager is assigned. Working knowledge of network segmentation, VLAN design, VPN/IPsec, NAC, firewall concepts and secure access practices. Solid understanding and experience with ZTNA, SASE and CASB technologies. Other IT skills of interest that would be considered an asset, though not required: Office 365 or other cloud SaaS implementations; IP Telephony NGFW/IDS/IPS Application/server load balancing technologies and reverse proxies.
