Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Technical Documentation Specialist, for one of our key government clients to develop a comprehensive data inventory and cataloque of all data assets within the existing system. This work will involve identifying, documenting, and organizing datasets, including their structure, content, sources, format, data owners, and usage. The objective is to improve data visibility, governance, accessibility, and compliance by establishing a clear and standardized inventory of information held within the system. Candidate MUST Have The Following Experience in data governance, library sciences, or information management; Experience developing data inventories, catalogues, or information classification frameworks; Familiarity with Indigenous data governance principles; Knowledge of geospatial data and metadata standards; Experience working with structured and unstructured data (e.g., databases, PDFs, GIS files, email-based information); Experience documenting data flows, system integrations, or complex data environments; Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, including conducting interviews and validating findings with diverse groups; Experience working with government systems or Indigenous consultation processes is an asset; Experience developing practical tools and documentation (e.g., inventories in Excel/SharePoint, metadata schemas, SOPs, training materials); Able to translate technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation for non-technical audiences; and Able to work with information in both official languages.
