Location New Westminster/Coquitlam Campus Salary Range $32.04 per hour (with wage increments to a max of $36.06 per hour). Salary and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement. What It Takes Excellent working knowledge of the operation and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and apparatus together with good working knowledge of safety measures related to the operation of the Chemistry laboratory, including WHMIS . Good working knowledge of English (written and verbal). A B.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized post-secondary educational institution. A demonstrated ability to: communicate courteously and effectively in person, in writing and over the telephone with students, faculty, administrators, staff, and the public. work independently with minimum direct supervision. establish priorities and achieve deadlines. effectively demonstrate proper laboratory techniques. maintain current knowledge in the field of chemistry. maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Additional Information For the Full Job Description, click here This temporary part-time (14 hours per week) 4-month term position is available starting Sept 1, 2026. Regular hours of work fall between 8 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday, with actual schedules varying within this window. Shift days and times may change depending on the Department’s need. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required. One position is located at the New Westminster campus, and one position is located at the Coquitlam campus; however, the successful candidate must be available for occasional work at either campus.
