We're partnering with a well-established manufacturing company to recruit a Bookkeeper. Why This Role This is more than a traditional bookkeeping position. You'll be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records while supporting both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. This role offers a variety of responsibilities, exposure to multiple areas of accounting, and the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative team that values accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement. The Role: Bookkeeper As the Bookkeeper, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the business. Key responsibilities include: Managing the full Accounts Receivable process, including invoicing, cash receipts, collections, and customer account maintenance Preparing customer invoices and monthly statements Monitoring outstanding receivables and following up on overdue accounts Performing daily bank monitoring and monthly bank reconciliations Preparing journal entries and reconciling sub-ledgers to the general ledger Maintaining accurate Accounts Receivable aging reports Managing the Accounts Payable process, including matching purchase orders, packing slips, and vendor invoices Maintaining vendor records and processing payment runs Preparing HST remittances Maintaining Accounts Payable aging reports Assisting with general bookkeeping and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records Collaborating with internal departments while providing professional customer and vendor support What You'll Bring Post-secondary education in Accounting or Bookkeeping is preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered Previous bookkeeping experience, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices Experience with ERP or accounting software (Sage 300 experience is considered an asset) Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Analytical problem-solving abilities and a high level of accuracy A positive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team Benefits & Environment This organization offers a competitive compensation package and a supportive workplace, including: Competitive hourly wage RRSP matching program Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits Employee Assistance Program Paid birthday off Paid time off Company events and employee appreciation activities On-site parking Monday-Friday schedule (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) Opportunity to grow your career with a respected manufacturing organization If you're looking for a stable bookkeeping opportunity where you can make a meaningful contribution and continue developing your accounting career, we'd love to hear from you.
