Drake International is hiring Broker Payroll Administrator – Logistics industry for our client in the Brampton area. You will also be responsible for issuing payments to Brokers/Drivers (Owner Operators) for work performed at other terminal locations in the region. All administrative functions based on the Administrative Coordinator role. Understanding Federal Transportation Compliance documentation and reacting to and reporting non-compliance. Understanding of the contract and compliance based on said contract to produce/pay all Brokers /Drivers /Owner Operators timely bi-weekly ensuring quality and accuracy of information generated keeping in mind the payroll cutoff deadlines (15th or 30th – 31st of each month). Utilizing Driver Run Sheets and gathering information on hours worked for each Broker /Driver /Owner Operator. Calculating the correct number of stops (deliveries & pickups) per the daily “Run Sheet” Responsible for calculation of deductions, wait times, etc. Verifying stops (based on wait time etc.) with the assistance from Dispatch team or Route Planner directly. Assist in reconciling payroll records and solving discrepancies. Assisting Brokers/Drivers/Owner Operators with any payroll questions or concerns they may have and resolving sometimes with collaboration with Dispatch Team. Production of various monthly reports. Collaborate in continuous improvement and standardization of payroll processes. Document all payroll processes. What you’ll bring: Previous Transportation or operational experience is preferred / TruckMate and AS400 definite asset. Experience with Payroll and Payroll Reporting Systems as it relates to the data entry / maintenance of employee hours. Must have analytical capabilities to be able to monitor and maintain payroll records. Previous Transportation administration or operational experience is preferred having worked on TruckMate and AS/400 is definite asset. Must have worked in a high paced and high transactional environment. Must be organized and excellent communication skills. Must have a clear Crim check.
