Drake International is seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to grow our presence in the Winnipeg market. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager – Prairies, this role is responsible for driving new business development, securing strategic client partnerships, and growing existing accounts across a variety of industries. The successful candidate will operate as a full-cycle sales professional, responsible for prospecting, lead generation, client acquisition, account management, and revenue growth. CORE JOB ACTIVITIES Business Development Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities throughout Winnipeg and surrounding areas. Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, social selling, community involvement, and strategic outreach. Conduct client meetings, presentations, workforce consultations, and site visits. Develop and present staffing, recruitment, and workforce solutions tailored to client needs. Prepare proposals, negotiate service agreements, and close new business opportunities. Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and consistently achieve activity, revenue, and gross profit targets. Monitor local market conditions, industry trends, and competitor activity. Maintain a strong and professional presence within the local business community. Account Management Develop and maintain long-term client relationships. Conduct regular client visits, business reviews, and service evaluations. Identify opportunities to expand service offerings within existing accounts. Act as the primary point of contact for client concerns and service-related issues. Recruitment Collaboration Work closely with Recruitment Consultants and delivery teams to ensure client requirements are clearly understood and successfully fulfilled. Conduct detailed client intake meetings to understand hiring needs, organizational culture, and workforce challenges. Maintain clear communication between clients and internal recruitment teams throughout the hiring process. Operations & Service Excellence Ensure all client engagements align with Drake International policies, procedures, and service standards. Maintain accurate CRM records, activity reports, client notes, and sales forecasts. Respond promptly to client inquiries and requests. Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance client experience and operational effectiveness. Financial Accountability Achieve established sales, revenue, and gross profit targets. Maintain pricing integrity and profitability across all client accounts. Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and territory planning activities. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 years of Business-to-Business sales experience. Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field preferred. Proven track record of generating new business and closing sales opportunities. Experience managing and growing client relationships. Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets. Strong networking, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and build a territory from the ground up. Experience within staffing, recruitment, workforce solutions, industrial, transportation, logistics, professional services, or related industries is considered an asset. WHY JOIN DRAKE INTERNATIONAL?
