Financial Controller

A growing manufacturing and engineered solutions organization is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting function and support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and operational decision-making. This role works closely with operations, sales, suppliers, customers, and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and timely business insights. What We Offer: • Competitive compensation package based on experience. $140-170K, yearly bonus 5-10%, car allowance $700, company phone, 4 weeks’ vacation + 5 personal days. • Full-time permanent opportunity • Location: Aylmer, Ontario (mainly in office with some flexibility to WFH 1 day a week) • Opportunity to work directly with senior leadership • Collaborative and team-oriented culture • Growing organization with a strong reputation across multiple industries • Exposure to strategic initiatives, process improvements, and operational finance • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the business What You'll Do: • Oversee the full accounting cycle, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities • Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, variance analysis, and commentary • Manage general ledger activities, reconciliations, journal entries, and working paper preparation • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes • Analyze cost changes, expenses, and business performance metrics • Establish, monitor, and improve internal controls and accounting processes • Coordinate internal and external financial reporting requirements • Support year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors • Supervise Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and general accounting functions • Prepare ad hoc reporting and financial analysis to support business decisions • Partner with multiple departments to improve financial visibility and operational performance • Lead special projects and continuous improvement initiatives What We're Looking For: • CPA designation • 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience • Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting • Experience preparing financial statements and management reporting packages • Proven experience implementing and improving accounting processes and internal controls • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities • Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel • Exposure to ERP systems and accounting software • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities • Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments • Manufacturing, industrial, or project-based environment experience is considered an asset If this sounds like a fit for you, we invite you to apply today! The Controller will oversee the full accounting cycle, including monthly close, financial statement preparation, and managing general ledger activities. They will also lead budgeting, forecasting, and internal control improvements while supervising accounting staff and partnering with leadership.

Candidates must hold a CPA designation and possess 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and ERP systems is required, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
