Staff Accountant Location: London, Ontario (On-Site) Work Type: Permanent Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 + RRSP Matching Vacancy: Existing Vacancy This Staff Accountant role is ideal for a professional who enjoys working in a hands-on accounting environment, solving day-to-day financial and operational challenges, and supporting multiple accounting functions within a growing organization. The right person will recognize this role as a natural next step if they have experience in payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory accounting, and month-end accounting activities. Unlike many accounting roles that focus on a single area, this position provides hands-on involvement in payroll, AR, AP, inventory accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. The Role: Staff Accountant In this role, you will spend most of your time managing payroll activities, supporting accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, maintaining inventory accounting records, and assisting with month-end close activities. You will work closely with operations, procurement, human resources, and finance leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient accounting processes. Key responsibilities include: Processing weekly payroll and maintaining payroll records Managing accounts receivable, collections, customer payments, and aging reports Processing accounts payable and maintaining vendor records Supporting inventory accounting, reconciliations, and transaction accuracy Preparing journal entries and account reconciliations Assisting with month-end and year-end close activities Supporting audits and responding to audit requests Participating in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2–4 years of accounting experience with exposure to payroll, AR, AP, and inventory accounting Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial processes Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Benefits & Environment Benefits for this role include competitive compensation, RRSP matching, extended health and dental coverage, vision care, life insurance, and an employee assistance program.
