As a Long-Term Occasional Teacher (LTO) for DDSB, you’ll create a vibrant and supportive learning environment where students thrive. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and support student learning. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to help students grow. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to enhance student learning. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students. Qualifications And Additional Information Required subject qualifications: Intermediate/ Senior Math SPEC ED an asset FTE: 0.5 (sem 1) Grade(s)/assignment: 9-11 Tentative course codes (if known): Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing Secondary LTO Salary Range: $57,986 to $119,967/year (Placement on salary grid is based on QECO rating and teaching experience. Salary will be pro-rated based on the position FTE). Please Note External hires can take up to 10 working days to be processed which could affect the start date for this position Additional Requirements Provide a current Criminal Background Check with vulnerable sector screening upon hire. Develop and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with the curriculum while monitoring and assessing student progress. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment and collaborate with parents and colleagues to enhance student learning.

Candidates must hold an Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing with subject qualifications in Intermediate/Senior Math. A background in Special Education is considered an asset, and a current Criminal Background Check with vulnerable sector screening is required.
