We take pride in providing our customers with quality food products and top-notch service and we are looking for an energetic and determined individual to join our current Office team!Duties include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operations of the office. The successful candidate will help manage daily bookkeeping and office tasks, support managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication, have an ability to effectively communicate via phone and email, and rely on experience and judgment to prioritize and accomplish goals. The successful candidate may also support health and safety initiatives of the organization.Roles & responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Using bookkeeping databases, spreadsheets, and software such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Quickbooks, and various other accounting programs- Managing transactions for cash and cheques with bank- Interacting with vendors for account accuracy and payment- Submit and reconcile expense reports- Prepare and monitor invoices- Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, ect.- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner- Checking for accuracy in reports, figures, and postings- Maintain up-to-date employee records- Answer & direct phone calls- Provide information by answering questions and requests- Handle multiple projects- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed- Maintain computer and manual filing systems- Reply to emails, telephone and face to face inquiries- Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient- Resolve administrative problems- Receive, sort and distribute the mail- Provide general support to visitors- Coordinate repairs of office equipment- Recruitment and selection- Developing health and safety programs and policies as needed- Develop general policies as needed- Any additional tasks as required- Run various errandsRequirements:- Minimum of 5 years accounting clerk or admin assistant experience- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures- Excellent time management, ability to multitask and prioritize work- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills- Proficient in MS Office- Previous retail experience would be an assetSalary: $16.00-$25.00 per hourSupplemental pay types:Overtime payEducation:Secondary School (preferred)Experience:administrative assistant: 3 years (preferred)Accounting: 3 years (required)
