Overview: We are currently hiring Forestry Technicians for either full-time permanent or 4-month term positions to join our team of Resource Professionals in the Forestry Department. Our mission is to provide the highest caliber of service to meet the needs of our clients, and we are only as good as the people on our team. We are looking for team players who are motivated, positive, and dependable. The position(s) will be based out of Chilliwack, B.C. or Maple Ridge, B.C. and will involve shift work throughout the province. What We Offer: * Tailored career growth opportunities within a team environment that recognizes talent * A competitive wage, a comprehensive benefits package along with a bonus program * A diverse range of work with a multitude of clients * A fun, professional and safety-first work environment * Flexible work arrangements ensuring work-life integration Job Responsibilities: This position will mainly focus on field work, and its responsibilities will generally include: * Collecting field data * Preparing written summaries and assessments * Contributing to the team on a wide range of project duties * Planning and working with clients to achieve their objectives * Supporting various tasks as required * Willing to travel and complete shift work throughout the province Qualifications: * Resource field experience is an asset but not required * Registered or eligible for registration with FPBC is an asset but not mandatory * Experience with Microsoft Office, and Apple iOS * Valid Class 5 British Columbia Drivers Licence; experience driving 4x4 trucks and ATVs is an asset * Physically fit and able to work outdoors; willing to work in diverse and demanding conditions Compensation: * The hourly range is $24-$34, commensurate with experience.
