Millwright Apprentice (2nd or 3rd Year) Full-time | Year-Round | Blackfalds, AB Position Summary Every piece of equipment has a job to do, and so do you. Eagle Builders is looking for a Millwright Apprentice who thrives on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll help keep our precast concrete operations moving by maintaining, repairing, and improving the equipment our production team relies on every day. What You’ll Do Keep plant equipment running safely and efficiently Troubleshoot issues and perform repairs when equipment breaks down Complete preventative maintenance and routine inspections Support equipment installation, upgrades, and modifications Perform welding, fabrication, and general maintenance tasks Find practical solutions to mechanical challenges Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment Help minimize downtime and keep production moving forward What We Are Looking For Mechanically-inclined – enjoys working with equipment, tools, and machinery Adaptable – responds well to changing priorities and unexpected challenges Proactive – identifies issues before they become bigger problems Team-oriented – collaborates effectively while also working independently Improvement-minded – always looking for better, smarter ways to keep equipment running efficiently Hands-on – enjoys tackling mechanical challenges and seeing the results of their work Requirements Successful interview candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment assessment 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice Valid Class 5 license, acceptable abstract and reliable transportation Available to work Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays Available to join an on-call rotation schedule for Saturdays Physically able to perform demanding work for extended periods Able to lift 50 lbs. and work on your feet all day Ability to read various schematics Comfortable working at heights with proper safety equipment Strong organization and problem-solving skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) Assets Previous millwright, maintenance, or industrial manufacturing experience Mill and lathe experience Fall Protection & Aerial Work Platform tickets What Eagle Builders Offers Competitive wages based on experience, with regular evaluations 6% vacation pay, health coverage, and wellness support Sundays off and a culture that values time with family Clothing program, meal program, fuel discounts, and employee events Clear training roadmaps and opportunities for growth Join a team that keeps our equipment running, our production moving, and our projects on track.
