Come build the future with us! We are currently looking to add a Site Security Coordinator to the team in Ottawa. The Site Security Coordinator supports the organization’s physical and operational security programs by coordinating daily administrative security activities, ensuring compliance with internal/external policies and regulatory requirements. This role acts as a key liaison between Security Operations, Facilities, HR, PSPC, CSP, clients and subcontractors to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Requirements 5+ years in a Security role, preferably in construction, defense, or federal contracting Strong knowledge of Canadian federal security protocols, including CSP, CGP, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Information Security Policy (ISP), and Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSE) cybersecurity programs Proven leadership in managing security for infrastructure or civil construction projects Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders including Legal, HR, IT, and Operations Excellent written and verbal communication; strong documentation and audit readiness. Knowledge of electronic security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms). Proficiency in incident management and crisis management protocols. Ability to read and apply complex corporate policies. Excellent judgment in emergency situations. Clear communication and diplomacy when interacting with multiple stakeholders. 3 to 5 years of experience in physical security, site management, or a similar role. Experience working with a security provider or in a corporate/industrial environment. Bilingual in French and English an asset (spoken and written). Must be able to work onsite in Ottawa. Valid Government of Canada security clearance or eligibility to obtain one, in accordance with project security requirements. Certifications (Preferred) CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) COMSEC - COM102C - COMSEC Account Management/COM103C - COMSEC Account Management for private sector companies Emergency Preparedness or Security Training Desired Profile Strong leadership and coordination abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to incidents. Proficiency with security technologies and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Ideal Candidate Profile: A proactive security professional who combines operational expertise, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety. The successful candidate will be capable of coordinating day-to-day security activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a secure and resilient work environment. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity.
