Job Title: Controls SCADA Designer Location: Cambridge, ON | On-site Job Type: Full-Time Compensation: $37.00 - $50.00 Benefits: RRSP, health/dental/vision package, reimbursement for tuition and professional dues, paid vacation, personal days, and sick days. The Positio nThe Controls SCADA Designer will contribute to data systems architecture development, integration of Server based systems to support Automation Projects, be involved with continuous improvement of Specification templates and processes, system setup documentation, user and training manuals. The incumbent will also work on programming and integration assignments utilizing PC based Server Systems and data related applications while delivering the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture . What You'll Do Here : Design and develop/configure software programs (PC based) specific to customer and project requirements based on standard Eclipse programming metho dsDebug and commission systems at our facility during the system integration stage and then again at the customer sited during installati onTravel as required to customer and supplier sites to perform installation, commissioning and training duti esSelect, test and integrate hardware and software components such as Servers, Hypervisor, VPN devices, Ethernet managed switches, Virtual Machines, customer data system interfaces, security interfaces to cloud systems and edge syste msDevelop requirements specifications, acceptance test plans and design documen tsMust have a good understanding of change control and configuration manageme ntThoroughly test functionality of interactions between controls and SCADA syste msProvide accurate documentation for each proje ctAdvise customers on solving technical proble msSupport Applications dept. in pre-quote and pre-automation activiti esDesign, implement, test and deliver automation solutions with a focus on:Computer Software applicatio nsData harvest, processing, visualization, streaming and stora geSQL (schemas, stored procedures, etc .)Big Data, machine learning interfaci ngIIoT, PC based HMI/SCA DASupport PLC controls resourc es Project Executi on: Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal sk illsAbility to work within a team environment and actively participate in group meet ingsComplete other duties and projects as assi gnedPosition requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as required in varying timel inesEnsure scheduled milestones are metNotify the appropriate departments if milestones are not projected to be met by expected due d atesAdhere to the Eclipse Project Operating Po licyMaintain good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse Corporate Vi sionEnsure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Inc. Conduct CodeAdhere to all health and safety rules and proced uresFoster the development of a culture reflective of the core values of the busi n ess Tra vel: Expectation of travel to vendor/supplier locations is less than 30% of time, however, may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet project needs What We're Lookin g For: Edu cationA post-secondary engineering degree, diploma or equivalent, specializing in computer science, electrical, systems or computer engine ering.Comprehensive English skills, both verbal and wr itten. Experience & Skills:7+ years of experience in data systems, ERP, MES, SCADA, security, server systems, cloud-based systems, and Web Design in the automation i ndustryExperience with Ignition, Aveva, and integration with MES/ERP systemsExperience in PLC and HMI/SCADA programming (Ignition & Aveva pref erred).Must have experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL, and Web DesignKnowledge of network architecture and configur ation. Exigences
Candidates should have a post-secondary engineering degree or diploma specializing in computer science, electrical, systems, or computer engineering. A minimum of 7 years of experience in relevant fields such as data systems and SCADA programming is required.
