Job Description The Opportunity The Data Specialist is innovative analytics professional with hands-on expertise in all facets of data product development and a driving passion for turning business challenges and needs into game-changing data products. What To Expect Actively contributes to the design of new and innovative data products for Commercial Insurance. Analyze and evaluate new data sources based on business requirements. Facilitate and participate in user story and requirement elaboration sessions. Contribute to project management activities such as scoping, impact assessments, estimating efforts, and risk mitigation. Work with business and engineering teams on test planning and validation. Ensure data documentation, integrity monitoring, and governance. Keep current on data and analytics tools and best practices. What You Bring University degree in Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum 1-3years of experience developing data and analytics products. Experience with SQL and Python skills on cloud platforms. Familiarity with Scala, Java, or C++ is an asset. Experience with insurance processes and data products is an asset. Familiarity with data science, machine learning, data visualization, and geospatial analytics. Salary Range: $59,000-$$108,600 About Us Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
