Position Summary The Certified Teacher at e4c Early Learning Services supports preschool-aged children from low-income families, including those with speech and language diagnoses and complex learning needs such as ASD. Working within an interdisciplinary team of educators, therapists, and family support workers, you will design and deliver inclusive, child-centered learning experiences using the Flight Framework. This includes developing individualized program plans (IPPs), implementing and evaluating children’s progress, and engaging families through collaborative meetings. The role emphasizes fostering communication, exploration, and overall development while demonstrating professional teaching standards in all interactions with children, families, and colleagues. Key Responsibilities * Lead and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver developmentally appropriate, play-based programming that meets the diverse needs of children and families. ' * Provide guidance, coaching, and leadership to classroom staff, children, and families, ensuring program standards and educational goals are met. * Plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group learning plans using Alberta’s Early Learning and Care Framework (Flight). * Participate in program team meetings, Communities of Practice, and collaborative initiatives with community partners to enhance program quality. * Apply problem-solving strategies to manage conflict and critical incidents safely and professionally. * Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation to meet program and regulatory standards. * Ensure classroom and program safety, monitor resources and equipment, and uphold professionalism in accordance with the Alberta Teacher Quality Standards. Qualifications Education * Bachelor of Education Degree (or temporary teaching authority). Certification * Alberta Teaching Certification (Interim or Permanent Teaching License) Experience * 1+ years of experience working with preschool children (ages 2.8 to 5 years) is preferred. * New graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive mentorship within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
