Position Summary The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide assessment, intervention, and clinical expertise that supports children with communication delays or disabilities and promotes their success. The SLP develops and supports programming and services that are responsive to individualized case plans and the needs of the children and families we serve. Schedule * Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (full-time, office hours) * Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, with adjusted scheduling * Local travel required between office locations, family residences, and schools Key Responsibilities * Collaborate with classroom and family support teams to assess and support children's communication development through individualized, classroom-based, and group interventions. * Conduct ongoing assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for a caseload of preschool children with communication and developmental needs. * Develop, implement, and review individualized programming and IPPs, including documenting communication strengths, areas of growth, assessment results, and progress. * Provide clinical expertise, coaching, and modelling to educators, family support teams, and parents on communication development and intervention strategies. * Engage families in supporting their child's communication development through education, consultation, and meaningful opportunities for participation. * Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with families, multidisciplinary teams, community partners, and external service providers to support referrals and coordinated care. * Complete required assessments, reports, documentation, funding information, and program evaluations while maintaining professional standards and supporting continuous improvement. Qualifications Education * Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology * Registered with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA) Certification * Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicle * Proof of vehicle insurance, registration and 3-year drivers abstract. * Standard First Aid and CPR * Certificate in Child Development is considered an asset Experience * 1+ year of experience working with preschool-aged children. * Experience working with socially, economically, and/or culturally diverse children and families. * Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team is considered an asset.
