Help Shape the Future of Edmonton International Airport (YEG) At Edmonton International Airport (YEG), we connect people, businesses and communities while helping drive economic growth across the Edmonton Metropolitan Region. We're looking for a strategic and relationship focused leader to join our Executive team as Director, External Affairs & Communications. Reporting to the Vice President, Air Service & Business Development, you'll lead our government relations, communications, stakeholder engagement and public affairs functions while helping shape the reputation and influence of one of Canada's leading airports. This is an opportunity to build meaningful partnerships, influence public policy, strengthen our brand, and help tell the YEG story. What You'll Do Build trusted relationships with municipal, provincial and federal governments, Indigenous communities, industry partners and key stakeholders. Lead government relations, stakeholder engagement and advocacy initiatives that advance YEG's strategic priorities. Provide strategic communications advice to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors. Oversee corporate communications, media relations, issues management and executive communications. Lead a high-performing team focused on collaboration, innovation and service excellence. Identify emerging issues, opportunities and risks while positioning YEG as a trusted voice within the aviation industry and broader community. What You'll Bring Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Business or a related discipline. Ten or more years of progressive leadership experience in government relations, communications, stakeholder engagement or public affairs. Experience advising senior executives and building trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong political acumen and the ability to navigate complex environments. Outstanding communication, leadership and influencing skills. Experience within aviation, transportation, infrastructure, economic development or other complex industries is an asset.
