Job Description Leading the design team in the preparation of designs, technical reports, contract plans, and documents required for the delivery of the Ministry of Transportation’s multi-year highway construction program. Monitoring overall work progress and technical performance on projects to ensure timelines and targets are being met. Providing mentorship, technical guidance, support, and oversight to other engineers and technical staff working on your projects. Ensuring that corporate and client QA/QC practices are completed on all projects. Maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders; Coordinating with clients, approval agencies, utility companies, contractors, etc. Preparing proposals, project work plans, schedules, and budgets. Ensuring adherence to design standards, policies, and procedures. Mentoring and developing junior design staff. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and P.Eng. designation required. Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in highway design and project management. Proven ability to lead design teams and prepare technical reports and contract documents. Proficient in highway design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation). Strong understanding of QA/QC processes and design standards. Experience preparing project budgets, schedules, and proposals. Skilled in mentoring junior staff and managing client relationships. Effective at coordinating with stakeholders, agencies, and contractors. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Experience with Ministry of Transportation projects is an asset.
